Solar treatment of biomass for power generation
Biogas Technologies in Uganda
Biogas Technologies in Uganda: Operation, Maintenance, Challenges and Solutions
Biogas is often a recommended technology that turns waste into energy. However, the resourceful technology has not been completely embraced. In this video we take a look at how this technology operates, what are some of the challenges that you may experience in both operation and maintenance after which we show you some tips to overcome these problems.
Gasification Technologies in Uganda
Gasification in Uganda: How to Operate a GEK Gasifier, Operation and Maintenance
Biomass has been widely recognized as a clean and renewable energy source, with increasing potential to replace conventional fossil fuels in the energy market. The abundance of biomass ranks it as the third energy resource after oil and coal. Primarily, gasification is more advantageous because of the conversion of biomass into a combustible gas, making it a more efficient process than other thermochemical processes. In this video, we speak about operation of gasification technologies, some of the challenges and how to overcome them.

Water Hyacinth and Biogas Digestors
Using Water Hyacinth to Improve the Performance of Biogas Digestors
Water hyacinth is a water weed that has affected many water bodies in Africa. This has affected fishing activities on lakes and the purity of water. Our project is investigating how we can use water hyacinth to improve the performance of biogas digesters.
